A leaking dishwasher is a water damage risk to flooring and cabinets. Identifying where the leak originates determines the repair needed — and the location tells you a lot before the technician arrives.
A leak from the door is almost always the door gasket: the rubber seal around the door perimeter that creates a watertight barrier when closed. San Diego's hard water deposits degrade rubber gaskets faster than soft-water areas, and a gasket that's cracked or compressed flat won't seal properly. A leak from the base of the machine points to either the inlet valve (water supply connection that can develop a drip), a cracked spray arm, or a tub seal failure in older machines.
Our technician identifies the leak source, replaces the faulty component, and runs a full cycle to verify the seal is watertight before leaving.
